Moja mala kala, as part of the summer program "Crikvenica Summer Showtime", in its first evening of the second edition, managed to provide an insight not only into local traditions - from old fishermen and other ancient crafts, through Crikvenica costumes, children's games to autochthonous gastronomic specialties.
"My little alleys" were - Saint Anthony's Alley, Gregory of Nin Alley, Andrije Kačić's Alley, Cvetić brothers' Gorica, Dvorac, Školska and Ulica Pavla Radića. At the beginning, in the street called Dvorac, visitors could enjoy watching or participate in lace making and weaving presentations. In the same street, a coral earring making workshop was held, and salted anchovies were a gastronomic delicacy in that street. In Alley of Saint Anthony, Crikvenica cookies (kroštuel) were made, and in one of the courtyards, fishing traditions, skills and tools were presented along with fish snacks.
One of the wine stations is located at the intersection of Saint Anthony Alley and Andrija Kačić, where you can enjoy a traditional drop of wine. In Grgur Ninski's Alley, there was a ceramic workshop, an exhibition of works of art created using a special technique of carving eggshells. At the intersection with Pavla Radića Street, there was a sweet gastro canton, and in that street there was also a children's canton with lots of content for the youngest - workshops, shows and dance. have been preparing for "Moja mala kala" throughout the year. In one of the romantic courtyards in that street, an exhibition of paintings, a ceramics workshop and a recital of Chakavian poetry were held, and musical performers took turns in the courtyard. Visitors could enjoy the video of the song "Moja mala kala", as well as other videos and photos of old Crikvenica.
The lifeblood of Crikvenica's city center, Gorica Braće Cvetić Street, was used for a fair of domestic products and handicrafts, but also for a painting workshop with Toni Belobrajdić, which took place with a musical backdrop in the courtyard of the former rectory. Gorica also offered an opportunity for gastronomic specialties and eno pleasures, as well as an exhibition of photographs of the Crikvenica alleys.
There are two gastronomic cantons in Školska Street, and you can also see a photo exhibition and participate in the presentation of traditional skills such as crocheting, knitting, sewing and making laurel wreaths.
On the first evening of the event, visitors enjoyed the music. The performances of the following performers alternated: "Trio Crikvenica", Teo Mandžuka, Neven Barac, Đoni and Vojko, musical ensembles "Klamaruša", "Mirakul" and "Allegro", KUD "Neven", "Vatroslav Lisinski" and "Dr. Antun Barac" and the klapa "Kala", "Sveti Jakov" and "Sveta Jelena".
