WOK BY MATIJA got its first franchise in Slavonia!

Homemade noodles, locally grown vegetables, and uniquely created sauces make the wok special. All of this is on the new spring menu of the WOK BY MATIJA brand. The owner of the brand, chef and gastro creative Matija Nikolić, in addition to the Zagreb addresses, recently introduced the first Slavonian address. The Wok by Matija franchise is located in the very center of Slavonski Brod (Petra Krešimira IV Street, 32). From the moment of its quiet opening, it has attracted many fans of juicy noodles to this day.



At the opening of the first Wok by Matija franchise, actors from the Osijek Croatian National Theatre, Ivan Soldo Čabraja, Antonija Mrkonjić, Miroslav Čabraja, and Mirko Ilibašić, who, with the most popular Slavonian food blogger Melita Matičević Vukasović (Chef Melita), tried out different fusions of noodles, meat, sauces, and vegetables.


"I have been involved in gastronomy in Slavonski Brod for years and, along with the kebab offer, I wanted to offer the people of Brod something completely new. As a big fan of wok, but also the one that Matija created for the people of Zagreb, I wanted to, and achieved, cooperation. The idea fell on fertile ground, many people from Brod love wok, and to eat everything to the last noodle, we created a small and large portion," said Ivan Lovaković, the first franchisee of the Wok by Matija brand, adding that along with wok, Slavonians also love spring rolls and gyoza. In addition, I think it is suitable for everyone - those who choose a basic meat, vegetables, but also those who want to eat wok differently. The Slavonski Wok by Matija offers a spicy wok stuffed into a crispy bun, an absolute hit.

Accustomed to the distinctive taste of Matija's woks, all gastronomes in Slavonski Brod can be convinced of one thing - wherever you eat this wok (at one of the addresses in Zagreb or in Slavonski Brod), the taste is the same. This will be confirmed by Matija himself, who stayed in Slavonia before opening the franchise to educate the entire team in creating the distinctive umami taste of his brand.

"In addition, the base of the Slavonian and Zagreb woks is the same. All noodles are produced in our Zagreb facility and delivered to Slavonski Brod with our specially created sauces. Since we encourage local vegetables, the vegetables in the Slavonian wok are selected from local cultivation in accordance with our standards," said Matija, pleased and happy that his love for culinary arts and exotics has been recognized and that his well-established business in the metropolis is slowly spreading throughout Croatia.
